This very generously proportioned piece was made locally by Thomas Sopwith of Newcastle.  

Thought to have been crafted “from original designs” around the time that the Literary & Philosophical Library was being built circa 1833-1834.

We will undertake a meticulous restoration of the piece and the client can specify fabric or leathers and finish.

All stock items will be shipped after workshop preparation.
